www.enota.com Part IV Life at Enota

To learn more about the people and activities of Enota, scroll down and then make your way back up.... With all the trimmings!
But it certainly does lend itself to a party! (Lodge)

And the front door bears its Native American art.

Usually, one of the main attractions of the Lodge is the gift shop which features offerings from Fair Trade businesses like Ten Thousand Villages.

Lodge furniture is re-arranged so that the Tree and all the decorations light up the Lodge.

During the Thanksgiving Feast, guests help the staff apply the finishing touches to the Christmas tree, then pose for photos which are later turned into personalized ornaments in a crafts workshop after dinner.

And retreats to learn more about nature, organic gardening, farming and being a part of the spring planting.

Yoga....you guessed it, same place...

Ats & Crafts.......(also taking place in Dakota's Activity Room, attached to the sleeping rooms, also great for a rainy day....)

Other educational activities include music workshops and clinics for schools....in this shot, we see rainy day activities for a visiting choir.

With its human 'Mom.'

And other critters, a lemur, visiting the camground in this case....

The teacher, with her favorite subject....

As do their parents and den mothers....(the Scouts, that is - not the baby squirrels!)

Scout jubilees in which they also learn a little something about baby squirrels.....

Although the dream of Enota is to become a self-sufficient ecology-minded village, lots is going on in the meantime, like weddings, (in this one, a choral retreat also onsite that same weekend sang a surprise wedding song for the lucky couple)....
